There are many reasons why I love Wollongong; great beaches, variety of restaurants and cafes and most importantly, the relaxed lifestyle! What more could you want!? When it comes to eating out, Wollongong has so many options, my favourite being Ghedia's Indian Restaurant and Mylan. At Ghedia's you can't go past Lamb Madras (which is typically a hot meal) and at Mylan you have to try the Vege/Tofu Laksa.. so yummy (and cheap!). Mel joined the Tourism Wollongong team as a real youngster back in 2002 and has become a much loved part of the crew. Starting in the Visitor Information Centre, Mel is now the Grand Pacific Drive expert. She also plays key roles in the International markets and works closely with our GM and board. Mel’s favourite place in the Gong is chilling out over breakfast at Diggies and when she’s not at work, you can find her hanging at the beach, indulging in food and wine with mates and watching a bit of sport. She’s certainly got the travel bug and has set her sights on South America next….hola chicos!
