The festivities for Australia Day in Wollongong will be held right throughout the Wollongong harbour precinct. Starting from 8am with the Illawarra Aquathon and ending with the Integral Energy Fireworks Spectacular at 9pm. Kate started out her career in tourism at the Novotel Northbeach, carrying bags and pulling beers at the Beach Bar. After uni, she joined the Tourism Wollongong team and worked on the inception of the Grand Pacific Drive. After leaving for a few years to work in Sydney and backpack through Latin America – she’s back! Kate now looks after the social media for Tourism Wollongong and works with international markets. When not at work, you can generally find Kate at Firework’s Café, shopping (no surprises there!) or spending time with friends and family. Her next aim is to climb Mt Kilimanjaro…
